Yen-Sheng Loretta Tu

June 29, 1948 — June 8, 2016

Family members, friends, and associates of all walks remember Yen-Sheng Loretta well, and fondly recall a spirited, loving, generous presence who took pleasure in her many roles as mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, in-law, sister, neighbor and friend.

Taking care, Yen-Sheng’s own variant of the everyday valediction, “take care”, was an expression she favored and imbued with heartfelt sincerity whenever she signed off, from visits, phone calls and letters, in so many words. And taking care was what Yen-Sheng did most ably and exceptionally — by nature eager to welcome, provide for, and be a friend to anyone she met.

As Yen-Sheng’s immediate family, we created this website in tribute to a life lived fully and ardently, and the cares, untold, which she was given, and gave unreservedly, to strangers and loved ones alike over her nearly 68 years.

We know that she would have been moved and grateful to know that readers dear to her came by to spend time remembering a thrilling, shared journey. Should you wish to contribute a story from your own time with Yen-Sheng, we would be grateful to hear it and, with your permission, to feature it among the collected memories that comprise this site. You can submit one using this form. For other inquiries, we welcome you to get in touch.

From all of us, thank you for visiting.
